Welcome to the Rotstein Lab
The Rotstein Lab studies neuroinflammatory conditions of the central nervous system, with a focus on disease risk, disease course, treatment outcomes, and the lived experiences of patients.
About the Lab
Research that connects clinical evidence with better patient care.
Dedicated to advancing research in neuroinflammatory conditions, the Rotstein Lab is based at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto and is affiliated with the University of Toronto. We focus on understanding risk factors for disease and disease course in disorders of the central nervous system such as multiple sclerosis (MS), neuromyelitis optica spectrum disease (NMOSD), and myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody disease (MOGAD).
We have a special focus on how these diseases present and evolve in vulnerable populations such as women and underrepresented ethnic groups. Our mission is to enhance detection, treatment, and overall well-being for people living with these diseases.
